FOXBORO, MA – Kareem Hunt fumbled on his first NFL carry – then proceed to set an NFL record for most yards from scrimmage in a player’s NFL debut.
The third-round draft pick out of Toledo rushed for 148 yards and a touchdown and added five catches for 98 yards and a pair of scores as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the New England Patriots 42-27 on opening night.
Mike Gillislee rushed for three scores for New England, but Tom Brady was just 16 for 36 for 267 yards.
