Debut Episode Drops Today Featuring Patriots Coach Bill Belichick Calling Roster Cut-Down Day “The Toughest of the Year”

New York, NY, September 5, 2018 – In a rare media interview, New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick debuts as the first guest on RapSheet and Friends, a new podcast launching today on Westwood One Podcast Network. The show, a joint venture between Westwood One and NFL Network, is hosted by NFL Network National insider Ian “RapSheet” Rapoport. Listeners can subscribe to RapSheet and Friends and hear the entire Coach Belichick interview on Apple Podcasts and Google Play.

In the first episode of RapSheet and Friends, Belichick talks about watching Tom Brady hang over a cliff to hit a golf shot, calls roster cut-down day his toughest day of the year, and looks ahead to the Patriots’ season opener against the Houston Texans.

Each week RapSheet and Friends features exclusive information and in-depth analysis on the biggest news in the National Football League. Ian is joined by fellow NFL reporters Mike Garafolo and Tom Pelissero to discuss the inside story on the most newsworthy topics of the week. Ian also conducts insightful conversations with the key players, coaches, and NFL front office personnel to provide fans with a unique and engaging listening experience.

“I can’t believe they gave me a podcast and allowed me to bring my friends,” said Rapoport. “I am so psyched for this project. All I want to do is talk football with my buddies and provide the listeners with the latest and most in-depth information possible. This podcast offers the perfect avenue to do that. Along with Mike and Tom, we’re going to have fun, I promise.”

“Sports is the crown jewel of Westwood One and we take pride in delivering our unbeatable sports programming across the entire audio landscape,” said Suzanne Grimes, Executive Vice President, Marketing for Cumulus Media and President of Westwood One. “This original podcast is a perfect addition for football fans who want to hear the inside track.”
