DENVER, CO – Patrick Mahomes injured his knee in the second quarter and didn’t return, but a stingy defense and just enough offense was more than enough for the Kansas City Chiefs as they defeated the Denver Broncos 30-6 on Thursday night.
Mahomes appeared to dislocate his kneecap on a quarterback sneak and was replace by Matt Moore. On the next Broncos possession, Reggie Ragland recovered a Joe Flacco fumble and returned it for a touchdown and a 20-6 lead. The Broncos didn’t score again.
Ian Eagle and Tony Boselli called the action on Westwood One.
