CAA Championship Highlights: Hofstra headed to tourney for 1st time since 2001


WASHINGTON, DC – For the first time in nearly two decades, Hofstra is headed to the NCAA Tournament.

The Pride defeated Northeastern 70-61 on Monday night to capture the CAA title and secure a first bid since 2001, which was Jay Wright’s final year on Long Island before taking the Villanova job.

Gary Cohen and Will Perdue had the call on Westwood One.
