OMAHA, NE – Mississippi State is one win away from the best-of-three championship series after an improbable rally on Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs were being no-hit by Virginia’s Griff McGarry through seven innings, before rallying for six runs in the eighth inning en route to a 6-5 win.
In the day’s opener, Texas beat Tennessee by a final score of 8-4, eliminating the Vols and setting up a Thursday night win-or-go-home matchup with Virginia. Mississippi State will face that winner of that game on Friday night.
