WCWS Update: Montana Fouts tosses perfect game for Alabama; James Madison wins again

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – History was made in both games as USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium on Friday. In the nightcap, Alabama pitcher Montana Fouts celebrated her 21st birthday by retiring every UCLA batter she faced. 21 up, 21 down with 14 strikeouts to complete the first WCWS perfect game since May 25th, 2000 – 10 days before she was born.


Meanwhile, in the opener, James Madison and star pitcher Odicci Alexander became the first unseeded team to win its first two games at the WCWS. The Dukes are a win away from a trip to the championship series after a 2-1 victory over Oklahoma State.
