Westwood One to provide live audio play-by-play of The Ryder Cup

09/17/2021

For the first time ever, Westwood One Sports will present exclusive live hole-by-hole coverage of the Covid-delayed 2020 Ryder Cup. This year’s venue will be Whistling Straits Golf Course in Kohler, Wisconsin from Friday, September 24th through Sunday, September 26th.

You’ll be able to listen to the action on Westwood One affiliates, SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio, WestwoodOneSports.com, RyderCup.com and on Alexa-enabled devices – just say “Alexa, open Westwood One Sports.”

Coverage will begin at 8am Eastern on Friday and Saturday, and at noon Eastern on Sunday.

Veteran broadcaster and SiriusXM PGA Tour channel host Brian Katrek and Hall-of-Fame golfer Greg Norman will anchor coverage from the main tower at the 1st tee. Calling the action from the course will be 1979 British Ladies Amateur Champion Maureen Madill, 1992 PGA Rookie of the Year Mark Carnevale, as well as former PGA Tour players Carl Paulson and John Maginnes.

Also, Will Haskett will anchor The Ryder Cup Tonight, a half-hour program which will air Thursday, September 23rd through Sunday, September 26th, 2021. The first airing will be a preview edition of the 2020 Ryder Cup, and the remaining three shows will recap the day’s events from Whistling Straits. The program will feature play-by-play highlights, one-on-one interviews with the golfers, and analysis from the Westwood One crew.
