NASHVILLE, TN – Thanks to Evan McPherson’s game-winning 52-yard field goal as time expired, the Cincinnati Bengals are headed to the AFC Championship Game for the first time since 1989.
The rookie kicker’s field goal capped a 19-16 win for the AFC North champions over the top-seeded Tennessee Titans.
Tied at 16 in the final minute, Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson intercepted Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill with 28 seconds remaining. A 19-yard pass from Joe Burrow to Ja’Marr Chase then pushed the Bengals into field goal range.
Ryan Radtke and Tony Boselli called the action on Westwood One.
