DENVER, CO – In a game dominated by defense to begin Week 5 of NFL action, the Indianapolis Colts defeated the Denver Broncos in overtime, 12-9, on Thursday night.
Colts defensive back Stephon Gilmore deflected a pass in the end zone on the final play of overtime to seal the win. The Broncos opted to go for it on 4th and 1 from the 5-yard line instead of kick a potential game-tying field goal to extend the extra period.
Colts kicker Chase McLaughlin was 4-for-4 on field goal attempts, including the eventual 48-yard game-winner in overtime.
Spero Dedes and Ryan Harris called the action on Westwood One.
