CHICAGO, IL – Trailing by five with under two minutes to play, Justin Fields drove the Bears all the way down to the Washington 4-yard line. But on 4th & Goal, Darnell Mooney juggled a Fields pass and eventually came down with the catch just short of the end zone. With the goal line stand, the Commanders pulled out a 12-7 victory on Thursday night.
Rookie running back Brian Robinson–fewer than two months removed from sustaining a gunshot wound during an attempted carjacking–led Washington with 60 yards on 17 carries and a touchdown.
Ian Eagle and Tony Boselli called the action on Westwood One.
