LONDON, UK – Will Lutz’s 61-yard field goal attempt as time expired went off the upright and then the crossbar before falling short as the Minnesota Vikings hung on for a thrilling 28-25 win over the New Orleans Saints at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Lutz had hit from 60 yards earlier to tie the game at 25-25, before Greg Joseph’s kick gave Minnesota a lead again with time running down. That set the stage for Lutz’s next attempt, which had the distance but was just inches off target.
Bill Rosinski and Derek Rackley called the action on Westwood One.
