KANSAS CITY, MO – The Kansas City Chiefs edged the Cincinnati Bengals, 23-20, in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday evening.
Tied at 20 for much of the fourth quarter, the Chiefs had the final offensive possession and capitalized with the help of a Bengals unnecessary roughness penalty to get into field goal range. Harrison Butker then connected on a 45-yard field goal with three seconds remaining.
Patrick Mahomes finished with 326 yards passing and two touchdowns, while Joe Burrow threw for 270 yards with one score.
