Third-seeded Ohio State took down the second-seeded Connecticut Huskies, sending UConn out of the tourney in the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2005. UConn had also not missed a final four since 2007, a streak unlikely to be matched in all of college basketball for years, if ever.
Ohio State overcame a 10-2 run by the Huskies to start the game and led by 10 at halftime on their way to knocking out the Huskies 73-61.
For the last 17 years, it was the UConn Women's team to punch their #EliteEight ticket.
