After rolling through the 2023 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, the UConn Huskies are national champions following a 76-59 win over San Diego State in Houston. The victory marks the fifth national championship in program history.
Tristen Newton and Adama Sanogo contributed double-doubles in the win, while Jordan Hawkins scored 16 points at NRG Stadium. The Huskies made 24-of-27 free throws and held San Diego State to 32-percent shooting from the field.
