DETROIT – The Detroit Lions survived a late rally to defeat the Chicago Bears 23-20 in Game 1 of the Thanksgiving Day Triple Header.
Detroit led 16-0 at halftime before 3 second-half TD passes from No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams, but a late gaffe kept Chicago from attempting a game-tying field goal at the end of regulation.
The win gives the Lions their first 11-1 start to the season in franchise history, while the Bears’ losing skid reaches 6 games.
Jason Benetti & Ryan Leaf called the action on Westwood One.
