AUGUSTA, GA – Australian Jason Day surged to the top of the leaderboard at Augusta National on Friday, firing the best round of the day with a 68 to get to six-under for the tournament.
Day leads Fred Couples and first-round co-leader Marc Leishman, who are both one shot back at -5.
Leishman shot a one-over 73 after carding a 66 on Thursday. His first-round co-leader Sergio Garcia fared even worse, shooting 76 and finishing at -2 for the tournament.
The strangest moment of the day belonged to Tiger Woods, whose approach shot at 15 hit the flag stick and spun back into the water.
