GULLANE, SCOTLAND – Zach Johnson is the leader after 18 holes of the 2013 British Open at Muirfield.
The 37-year-old American carded a five-under 66 as one of the golfers that hit the course early in the day, then watched as the score held up as conditions got dry and fast later in the day.
Rafael Cabrera Bello of Spain and 56-year-old Mark O’Meara are one shot back at four-under. India’s Shiv Kapur briefly took the lead in the afternoon by going -6 through seven holes, but finished his round at three-under.
Phil Mickelson carded a two-under 69 in the early part of the day. Tiger Woods matched that score in the afternoon session.
