What a fine day it was Sunday for the Arizona Cardinals, as they went to Seattle and handed the Seahawks their first home loss in Russell Wilson’s career. The victory kept Seattle, which had been 14-0 under Wilson at CenturyLink Field since the start of 2012, from wrapping up the NFC West and home-field advantage and also kept the Cards very much alive in the NFC playoff picture.
To earn a Wild Card berth, Arizona needs to beat San Francisco on Sunday and hope the 49ers slip up tonight against Atlanta. If that happens, next week’s game at University of Phoenix Stadium will be a winner-take-all affair. If San Francisco beats the Falcons, they’re in the playoffs. Arizona’s hopes then would rest on beating the Niners and hoping New Orleans loses to Tampa Bay.
In his weekly conversation with WestwoodOne’s Jim Gray, star Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald talks about returning from a concussion to catch three passes on Sunday, his team’s playoff chances and much, much more.
