SAN DIEGO, CA – Desmond Haymon’s four-point play forced overtime as Stephen F. Austin would not be denied in a 77-75 victory over VCU in a second-round game on Friday night.
Jacob Parker led the Lumberjacks with 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting. SFA trailed by four with less than 10 seconds left in the game when Haymon rose up and hit a three-pointer while being fouled.
The Lumberjacks move on to face the winner of UCLA and Tulsa on Sunday.
Dave Sims and Bill Frieder called the action on WestwoodOne Sports.
