UNIVERSITY PLACE, WA – Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed share the 36-hole lead at the U.S. Open at five-under par.
Spieth shot a 67 on Friday to follow up and opening-round 68. Reed started with a 66 on Thursday and added a 69 on Friday.
First-round co-leaders Dustin Johnson and Henrik Stenson had slower days on Friday. Johnson is one shot off the pace after a 71, while Stenson’s 74 was nine shots worse than his score on his opening 18.
At the other end of the leaderboard, Tiger Woods missed the cut at a major for just the fifth time in his career.
