Road to Rio: Vashti Cunningham leaps towards gold

Vashti Cunningham is a recent high school graduate and like many 18-year-olds, she has big things on the horizon.

Cunningham finished second at the Olympic trials in the high jump and will get to compete on the biggest stage in the world, a feat that runs in the family. Vashti’s father is former NFL quarterback Randall Cunningham.

In the latest installment of Road to Rio, Cunningham – and her famous father – talk about Vashti’s appearance at the Rio Games.
