AUSTIN, TX – A strong second half performance helped the Baylor Bears snap a three-game losing streak as they defeated Texas 77-72 on Monday night.
Texas (17-11, 7-8) took a 10-point lead to the locker room at the half, but Baylor (23-5, 10-5) stormed back behind the play of Quincy Acy, who scored 22 points and added 16 rebounds in the game.
Pierre Jackson also poured in 25 for the Bears – including going a perfect 12-12 from the free throw line. J’Covan Brown led Texas with 18 points, all of which came on three-point baskets. He was 6-9 from distance in the game, but missed all five of his two-point field goal attempts and his lone free throw attempt.
