VALPARAISO, IN – For the first time since 1999, Detroit is dancing. The Titans won the Horizon League championship Tuesday night with a dominating display in defeating Valparaiso 70-50.
Ray McCallum, Jr., son of Detroit head coach Ray McCallum, scored 21 points for Detroit, who had trailed 27-24 at the half before outscoring the top-seeded Crusaders 46-23 in the second period.
Dave Ryan and Pete Gillen called the action on the Westwood One Radio Network.
