SAN JOSE, CA – Fair or unfair, Jim Crews understands that many people will credit St. Louis’ success not to the man who is roaming the sideline, but to the man who isn’t.
Crews took over at the helm of the Billikens program after former head coach Rick Majerus passed away earlier in the season. But there is no question that Majerus would give his full endorsement of the masterful job Crews has done in piloting the program in the aftermath of such a tragic loss, and the Billikens are now a popular sleeper pick to emerge as a Final Four entrant. But first, 4th-seeded St. Louis must get past 12th-seeded Oregon in a 3rd round Midwest Regional matchup.
Ted Robinson caught up with Coach Crews ahead of the game.
