Michigan St. Head Coach Tom Izzo discusses his team getting healthy, maturing, and facing UVA’s underrated offense

Tom IzzoNEW YORK, NY – The injury bug that hit Michigan State this season must have felt more like a series of plagues.  But heading into a Sweet 16 matchup with top-seeded Virginia, Spartans coach Tom Izzo is happy to finally have his squad back to almost full strength and gelling at the right time.

Izzo knows his team will need to continue its strong play of late if it is to beat a strong Cavaliers team, which he feels is as talented and balanced offensively as they are tough on defense.

Ian Eagle caught up with the Spartans head coach ahead of the game.
