Skylar SpencerSPOKANE – Xavier Thames scored a game and career-high 30 points Saturday to pace the San Diego State Aztecs to a 63-44 win over North Dakota State in NCAA West Region action at Veterans Memorial Arena.

Thames shot 9-of-19 from the floor and added six assists while Josh Davis paced SDSU with a game-high 13 rebounds as the No. 4-seed Aztecs advanced to the Sweet Sixteen to meet the winner of Arizona vs. Gonzaga, in Anaheim.

Ted Robinson and Bill Frieder called the action on WestwoodOne Sports.
