EVANSVILLE, IN – The top-seeded Florida Southern Moccasins won the Division II Men’s Basketball Championship with a 77-62 victory against the Indiana (Pa.) Crimson Hawks Saturday afternoon, completing their nearly undefeated season. The Mocs lost just one game all year, a 107-102 loss to Barry back on January 3rd.
Kevin Capers led all scorers with 24 points for Florida Southern, while teammate Dylan Travis also poured in 18. The Mocs shot over 50 percent from the field and 52 percent from behind the arc, using their offensive efficiency to overcome a 42-30 rebounding deficit.
Devante Chance led the Crimson Hawks with 17 points in the loss.
