OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – For the second year in a row, the Fighting Irish out-dueled the Lady Bears in the Elite 8, as top-seeded Notre Dame defeated 2nd-seeded Baylor 77-68 in the Oklahoma City Regional Final.
Four Irish starters scored in double figures, led by Lindsay Allen’s 23 points, seven assists, four steals, and five rebounds. Forward Brianna Turner added twelve points, ten rebounds, and two blocked-shots.
Nina Davis carried the Lady Bears with 26 points and thirteen rebounds in the losing effort.
For the fifth year in a row, Muffet McGraw’s squad is going to the Final Four. They will head to Tampa Bay to face-off with South Carolina–the top-seed from the Greensboro bracket–next Sunday.
