OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Second-seeded Oklahoma withstood an opening 8-0 run by the under-dog Roadrunners to start the game before getting hot from the perimeter on their way to an 82-68 victory over fifteenth-seeded Cal State Bakersfield.
The Sooners collectively shot a red-hot 11-of-20 from behind the arc, led by 27 points from standout senior guard, Buddy Hield.
The WAC Tournament champion Roadrunners were paced by center Aly Ahmed’s 16 points and 8 rebounds in the losing effort.
