Sweet Sixteen Highlights: Scrappy Syracuse makes clutch plays late to eke out win over ‘Zags

CHICAGO, IL – Despite getting out-played most of the game, tenth-seeded Syracuse somehow managed to hang around and eventually make a enough clutch plays down the stretch to outlast eleventh-seeded Gonzaga 63-60.

Michael Gbinije led the Orange with twenety points, while Trevor Cooney chipped-in fifteen of his own.

The Bulldogs were paced by 23 points from Kyle Wiltjer, and Domantas Sabonis fought threw constant banging inside the paint on his way to a hard-earned 19 points and 17 rebounds.

Syracuse will take on top-seeded Virginia on Sunday for a spot in the Final Four.

Gary Cohen and Jim Jackson called the action on Westwood One Sports.
