First Round Highlights: USC climbs the mountain again, knocks off SMU 66-65


TULSA, OK – The “Comeback Kids” did it again–erasing a double-digit deficit to take their first lead with 2:10 to play–as USC knocked off SMU 66-65 in a First Round thriller.

Junior guard Elijah Stewart led the Trojans with 22 points, while Chimezie Metu and Bennie Boatright chipped in 14 apiece for Andy Enfield’s squad.

Duke-transfer Semi Ojeleye drove the Mustangs with 24 points and 10 boards in the losing effort.

Craig Way and PJ Carlesimo called the action on Westwood One Sports.
