NEW ORLEANS, LA – The North Carolina Tar Heels and Kansas Jayhawks will play for a National Championship on Monday night after a thrilling Saturday night of action at the Men’s Final Four.
Tied at 74 with one minute to play, North Carolina ended the game scoring seven of the final 10 points against Duke to advance to the National Championship Game. North Carolina’s Caleb Love led all scorers with 28 points, while UNC big man Armando Bacot had 11 points and 21 rebounds. With the loss, legendary Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski’s career comes to an end with 1,202 wins and 5 national championships.

Kansas jumped out to a quick advantage against Villanova, building a first half lead as large as 19 points, and never looked back. The Wildcats cut the deficit to as few as six points in the second half, but the Jayhawks did not give in. Kansas was led by David McCormack’s 25 points and 9 rebounds, and Ochai Agbaji’s 21 points.
