For the first time in Men’s NCAA Tournament history, a 1-seed will not play in the Elite Eight. 5-seed Miami blew out 1-seed Houston, 89-75, in Kansas City, while San Diego State eliminated Alabama in Louisville with a 71-64 win.

Attempting to continue its Cinderella run, 15th-seeded Princeton saw its 2023 Tournament come to an end at the hands of the Creighton Bluejays. The Bluejays were led by 22 points from Ryan Kalkbrenner and 21 points from Baylor Scheierman.
