For 26 seasons, from 1980-2005, Tony Roberts was the voice of Notre Dame on Mutual Radio, (which became Westwood One)… He also called NFL games for us every week on Sunday afternoons, as well as college basketball. He covered numerous other events for us over three decades, including the Winter and Summer Olympics, the British Open and the College World Series. Prior to joining the network he was the voice of Navy Football, the Washington Senators in Major League Baseball and the old Baltimore Bullets of the NBA.
He was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in 2016. Tony Roberts was 94 years old.
