NASHVILLE, TN – St. Bonaventure wasn’t exactly a very popular squad as far as NCAA Tournament “bubble teams” were concerned.
The Bonnies’ somewhat-unexpected run to the Atlantic-10 Tournament championship gave them an automatic bid into March Madness, therefore eliminating an at-large spot which would have been up for grabs by the bubble teams. But forgive the Bonnies if they’re less concerned about hurt feelings than they are about their second-round matchup against red-hot Florida State.
Brad Sham caught up with Mark Schmidt ahead of 14th-seeded St. Bonaventure’s matchup with the 3rd-seeded Seminoles.
