Every week, Pro Football Hall of Famer and Westwood One Sunday Night Football analyst James Lofton sits down with a fellow Hall of Famer “Legend to Legend.”
In this installment, James talks with Patriots legend Andre Tippett, who starred for New England from 1982 until 1993.
In 12 seasons, the intimidating linebacker recorded 100 quarterback sacks. In a stellar 1985 season that ended with the Patriots’ making a trip to Super Bowl XX, he led the AFC in sacks with 16.5, recorded three forced fumbles and recovered three fumbles, one of which he returned 25 yards for a touchdown.
Andre Tippett was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2008.
