DAYTON, OH – Tyrone Garland came off the bench to score 22 points as La Salle topped Boise St. 80-71 in a First Four game on Wednesday night.
Garland was 9 of 11 from the field in leading an Explorers squad that shot a scorching 63.3%. Ramon Galloway added 21 points, four rebounds and four assists for La Salle, which won 59 years to the day after it captured the 1954 NCAA title.
Anthony Drmic led all scorers with 28 points for Boise.
The Explorers advance to take on Kanssas State on Friday afternoon in Kansas City.
