NORFOLK, VA – Notre Dame is headed back to the Final Four for the third consecutive year.
The Irish rallied from a six-point halftime deficit to beat Duke 87-76 in the Norfolk Regional Final on Tuesday night.
Skylar Diggins led all scorers with 24 points for the Irish and also added nine assists and five steals. Natalie Achonwa added 17 points and 13 rebounds in the victory. Duke was paced by Tricia Liston, who scored 19.
Notre Dame will face fellow #1 seed Connecticut in one of Sunday’s national semifinals in New Orleans.
