NEW YORK, NY – Pierre Jackson continued his dominate play as Baylor defeated BYU 76-70 in Tuesday night’s first NIT semifinal at Madison Square Garden.
Jackson scored 24 points and dished out 10 assists on the night to lead the Bears. Tyler Haws scored 25 points for BYU to lead all scorers.
Cory Jefferson added 21 points for Baylor, which got all but seven of its points from its starters. That was still better than the Cougars, whose bench accounted for just two points.
Baylor will play Iowa in the championship game on Thursday night.
