CHARLOTTE-Duke hit its first seven shots, and 12-of-15, to race past Robert Morris, 85-56, in NCAA Tournament action Friday at Time Warner Cable Arena. Quinn Cook scored 22 points and Jahlil Okafor added 21 as the top-seeded Blue Devils had no trouble with the No. 16 seed.
Duke led 42-25 at halftime and when the Colonials drew within 10 midway through the second half, the Blue Devils exploded for 12 unanswered points to push the lead back to 68-46 with 8:29 remaining. For Robert Morris, Rodney Pryor scored 23 points and Marcquise Reed added 22 as the duo accounted for 45 of the Colonials’ 56 points.
