LAS VEGAS – A wild day of college basketball came to a fitting end late on Friday night as Utah got a buzzer-beater to force overtime before going on to beat Cal 82-78.
Jakob Poeltl had 29 points to lead Utah, but it was Lorenzo Bonam’s coast-to-coast layup that gave the Utes the chance in the extra session.
Utah will face Oregon in Saturday night’s championship game.
John Sadak and Mike Montgomery called the action on Westwood One Sports.
