SPOKANE, Wash. – Oregon coach Dana Altman has taken the Ducks (27-6) to the NCAA Tournament in a record four straight seasons, this year capitalizing on a dominant performance in the Pac-12 championship game to earn the first No. 1 seed in school history.
The Ducks’ first-round matchup, however, was a No. 9 seed in the Patriot League tournament only a week ago. After four tournament upsets and a First Four win on Tuesday over Southern, Holy Cross (15-19) will meet the Ducks in an NCAA opening game Friday at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.
Kevin Calabro and Dan Dickau caught up with Altman ahead of the game.
