GREENVILLE, SC – The second-seeded Duke Blue Devils entered the NCAA tournament on the heels of a title-winning run through the ACC tournament, and they picked up right where they left off with a comfortable 87-65 win against 15th-seeded Troy. Jayson Tatum ruled the roost for the Blue Devils, scoring 18 and grabbing 12 rebounds while Jordon Varnado had 18 points and 10 rebounds of his own in the loss for Troy.
