Player of the Week: Jameis Winston

10/23/2013

Jameis Winston, Bryan MurphyThis week’s AutoZone “In the Zone” Player of the Week for college football is Jameis Winston.

Florida State’s redshirt freshman quarterback did it all in his team’s 51-14 beatdown of Clemson on Saturday night. Winston threw for 444 yards and three touchdowns and added a short TD run as well in the victory, which vaulted the Seminoles to #2 in the first BCS rankings of the season.

Honorable mention this week goes to Michigan wide receiver Jeremy Gallon, who set a Big Ten record with 369 receiving yards in a wild, 63-47 win over Indiana.

Jameis Winston was definitely “In the Zone” and he’s our AutoZone College Football Player of the Week.
