GREEN BAY, WI – The Pittsburgh Steelers entered Sunday’s game at Green Bay needing a win and a whole lot of help to stay alive in the race for the sixth and final AFC playoff spot – and they got it all.
A 38-31 victory over the Packers coupled with losses by Miami and Baltimore – and a win by the New York Jets – mean the Steelers will go into Week 17 still with a slim shot of making it into the postseason. They’ll need to win again next weekend against Cleveland, plus get losses by Baltimore, Miami and San Diego to win an AFC Wild Card spot.
Green Bay, meanwhile, faces a trip to Chicago where the winner will grab the NFC North crown and the chance to host a Wild Card round game the following weekend.
Dave Sims and Mark Malone called the action on WestwoodOne Sports.
