It was a historic year for Brandon Finnegan, who became the first player in baseball history to compete in both the College World Series and the Major League Baseball World Series in the same year.
Finnegan’s TCU Horned Frogs came up short in Omaha, where Vanderbilt won it all, and in the big leagues, where his Kansas City Royals fell to the San Francisco Giants in seven games. But it was still a year of great accomplishments for the left-hander.
