HOUSTON, TX – Where many would have thrown in the towel and packed it in after a five-game losing streak a third of the way into the season, Steve Alford’s 11th-seeded Bruins responded with resilience. The Bulldogs overwhelmed the Bruins with a scoring barrage at Pauley Pavilion back in December, but Alford has a lot of confidence in a gelling team that has taken huge strides since then.
