NCAA Tournament Nightly Recap: Top seeds take care of business as #1’s Kansas, Villanova advance


OMAHA, NE – After a night that saw #9 Kansas State, #11 Loyola-Chicago and #9 Florida State advance to the Elite 8, the top seeds of the Midwest and East regions returned to form Friday as #1 seeds Kansas and Villanova dispatched #5’s Clemson and West Virginia, respectively. In the nightcap, #2 Duke held on to take out #11 Syracuse while #3 Texas Tech scored the lone upset of the night in knocking off #2 Purdue. Duke and Kansas will meet on Sunday for the Midwest Regional title while Texas Tech will face Villanova for the East crown.
