Tim Ryan

Tim Ryan will serve as a color analyst on select Thursday Night Football broadcasts this season on Westwood One. Ryan previously served as a sideline reporter for the network during the 2013 season.

Ryan is also the main radio analyst for the San Francisco 49ers, a position he started for the 2014 season. Prior to joining the 49ers, Tim served as an NFL game analyst for Fox Sports beginning in 2002..

A former Chicago Bear and USC All-American Defensive Lineman, Ryan has also called college games for the Fox Network and hosted “Movin’ The Chains” on SiriusXM Satellite Radio.

The all-time leading tackler in USC history, the former Trojan team captain also holds the single-season quarterback sack record with 20. During his career at USC , the two-time All-American played in three Rose Bowls and was a finalist for the Lombardi Award in 1989. After the conclusion of his stellar collegiate career, Ryan was selected with pick # 61 in the 1990 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. Ryan spent 5 years with the Bears before retiring in 1994 with a career-ending neck injury.
