PITTSBURGH, PA – Top-seeded Syracuse exploded for 50 points in the second half, turning a one-point halftime lead into a comfortable, 75-59 victory over 8th-seeded Kansas State.
Four Orange players scored in double-figures, led by Dion Waiters’ 18. Rakeem Christmas narrowly missed a double-double, with 8 points and 11 rebounds. Jordan Henriquez paced the Wildcats with 12 points and 17 rebounds.
Syracuse advances to the Sweet 16, where they will meet the winner of 5th-seeded Vanderbilt and 4th-seeded Wisconsin.
